Jacob’s Well Supporters

In December 2013, Vision House opened an expansion in Shoreline called Jacob’s Well Phase I – Building A. The complex currently consists of 12 housing units for homeless families, counseling and support service space and a licensed before-and-after school care program for community and resident children. We are especially thankful to the 3,000 individual volunteers, 191 businesses, 70 churches, 32 organizations and 18 foundations who helped construct this building.

Jacob’s Well Phase II – Building B

We are breaking ground for Jacob’s Well Phase II – Building B in 2018. HomeAid “Builder Captain” Polygon Northwest Homes will take the lead on the completion of the second Jacob’s Well housing complex at Vision House’s Shoreline location. With the collaboration of 34 community businesses from the Puget Sound area, this second phase of Jacob’s Well will add ten apartments to the existing 12 units of housing for homeless families with children. Building B will include a new youth and family multi-purpose center, and it will expand our child care program to include ages birth to five.

“The leadership, compassion, hard work and commitment by our Builder Captains and other subcontractor and trades volunteers is critical to support our mission – creating housing to help residents regain strength and purpose in a safe environment. Our Builder Captains are helping us rebuild lives,” said HomeAid Executive Director Leanne Woodland.

Vision House is grateful to Polygon Northwest Homes, HomeAid Puget Sound and everyone else involved with the construction of Building B.

About HomeAid Puget Sound:

Established in 2014, HomeAid Puget Sound is a 501(c) (3) non-profit organization dedicated to building and remodeling multi-unit housing for temporarily homeless men, women and children. They are represented and supported by an alliance of local building, banking, land acquisition, mortgage and real estate industry organizations.

One of 17 national chapters of HomeAid America, HomeAid Puget Sound was established to continue and expand the work of the Care Foundation, a former non-profit organization affiliated with Master Builders Association of King and Snohomish Counties. The combined entities have built 14 family housing projects, offering over 63,000 bed nights, representing more than $10 million of in-kind contributions of labor and materials from the building industry to serve the region’s homeless.
