Does this look like a mess to you? Actually, this is progress! Drywall is going up on Shoreline Jacob’s Well Building B which means we are getting closer to finished apartments that will house 10 more families struggling out of homelessness. As the weather turns cooler, our entry team continues to receive a record high volume of calls, so the completion of Building B can’t come soon enough.
In addition to drywall, concrete for some of the sidewalks has been poured as well. We can only imagine all who will walk on these sidewalks as they progress one step at a time towards transformation and stability.
We held an Adopt-a-Room event in early August and were overwhelmed by the generous support from the local community. Business, churches, and individuals attended and enthusiastically adopted 58 rooms in our new building. They are now gathering new or gently used furniture and décor that will make a house a home for families. We only have 7 rooms left for adoption within the apartments. If you would like to be a part of Adopt-a- Room or would like more information, please contact Peggy Mann at firstname.lastname@example.org.
As with most building projects, the timeline can shift, and the Jacob’s Well Building B project is no exception. We hope to have construction complete by January. Please join us in prayer as we serve current families and new families in the coming months.
