Adopt-A-Room Update

Thank you for your investment in Adopt-a-Room for Building B at Vision House Shoreline (Jacob’s Well). Because of you, incoming residents will have a warm and welcoming living space to call home.

We are excited to see significant changes on Building B! The recent break in the weather allowed painters to paint the exterior. Additionally, the interior is currently being textured so painting of the interior will be happening soon.

As you know, construction projects are oftentimes delayed and this project is no exception. The completion date has been moved to late March or early April.

Many of you have been storing items for quite some time now. If you are able to continue storing items until the completion date, it would be greatly appreciated. If the storing of items until spring is not possible, then we have a solution that we can implement as a last resort.

  • We have limited space in a storage unit and would kindly ask you to be responsible for moving the items into the storage unit.
  • Each item will need to be clearly marked with the apartment it is intended for.
  • Once the construction is complete, you would be responsible for retrieving the items and moving them into your adopted room.

If you would like more detailed information regarding this option, please contact Gay Hawkins (Hawk) our Shoreline Facilities Maintenance Technician at gayh@visionhouse.org or by calling(206) 812-8834.

Thanks again for investing in the lives of families experiencing homelessness and for your patience as we near the finish line with construction in Shoreline.
