Thirty years ago, the story of a mother and daughter experiencing homelessness moved John and Susan Camerer to dedicate their lives to creating environments in which men, women and children had the necessary support to transition out of homelessness.
Today, we are excited to announce the publication of their own story. In celebration of Vision House’s 30th anniversary, we have released a book commemorating key moments and lessons from the past decades.
When Hope is Not Enough retraces John and Susan’s 30-year journey of starting a 501(c)3 and the winding path God led them on as their original dream developed into the thriving organization Vision House has grown into over the years. We hope that, just as the original story of a mother and daughter moved the Camerers’ to action, When Hope is Not Enough will stir a similar desire in readers to invest in those transitioning out of homelessness in their own communities, as well as encourage readers through hearing the different stories of God’s movement in the lives of those involved at Vision House.
The book can be purchased on Amazon in both paperback and Kindle versions. All proceeds will support families experiencing homelessness.
Thank you for your part in the Vision House story. We celebrate the past 30 years, and eagerly look forward to the years to come!
