Melissa GehrigExecutive Director
Melissa was born near Boston and grew up in Tennessee. She currently lives in Renton with her husband Steve and their super dog Marley. Before being named executive director, she served for the prior 11 years at Vision House as HR manager with an emphasis on leadership and organizational development. Melissa has a BA in fine arts from the University of California. Her passion for understanding effective leadership led to obtaining a Master’s degree from Gonzaga University in Organizational Leadership. Melissa loves to travel, read, play golf, but most enjoys spending time with her husband Steve, their four kids and spouses and grandson, Connor.
John CamererDirector of Operations & Co-Founder
John was born in Laredo, Texas and moved to the Burien area at a very young age. He earned a BA in Crime in Society Sociology with a minor in Organizational Communications from Pacific Lutheran University. John and his wife, Susan, founded Vision House in 1990 out of a calling from God to serve homeless families. He has provided leadership and vision to successfully expand Vision House from conception to its present capacity. Prior to Vision House, John worked for the Department of Corrections. John enjoys reading, outdoor activities and most mornings you'll find him in the gym trying to maintain his youth. He has two grown sons and a grandson. John also serves as the Men’s Ministry Leader at Highlands Community Church, where he and Susan have been attending for 30 years.
Sarah ButlerWillsFamily Services Director
Sarah ButlerWills grew up in the Pacific Northwest. She is often out in the mountains, at the beach or in a coffee shop reading a good book. Her husband Brad has been an elementary music teacher for over 30 years. She has three grown sons, one who lives in Seattle, one in Chicago and one in New York. Sarah professionally has been a Pastor of Prayer and Healing, an instructor at Bellevue College and Renton Technical College, and had a private practice in Marriage and Family Therapy for 22 years. Sarah holds a Bachelor’s in Social Work from University of Washington; and two Master degrees from Fuller Seminary. She has been serving as Family Services Director for 7 years at Vision House.

Venetia VangoDevelopment Manager
Venetia is a native Seattleite, lives in Renton, and is smitten with her food-obsessed Cavalier K.C. Spaniel, Shiloh. Before her term as Development Manager at Vision House, she worked in events management at Hopelink, missions in Russia with the Navigators, and retail banking with SeaFirst. Believing generosity to be a part of everyone’s spiritual formation, Venetia delights in coming alongside someone to learn about them and help provide an outlet for giving of their time, talent and treasure. She loves gatherings with friends and family; gardening; estate sales; antique devotionals, novels and biographies; and discovering connections with people. Venetia also leads a Bible Study for career women through Crossroads Bible Church, where she has attended since 1981.

Bill Northey, Founder, Point North LLC
Bill served as an executive in the transportation & logistics industry for over 30 years. Before he retired in 2015, Bill was Vice President of Sales & Marketing for Alaska Marine Lines. Prior to that, Bill served as Sr. Vice President/COO at Northland Services for 16 years. Currently, Bill is the founder of Point North LLC, an executive consulting firm, specializing in providing logistic solutions for the marine transportation market. In addition, Bill works with small business owners providing leadership coaching and transition planning. Bill received a BS degree, along with a teaching certificate, from Washington State University and also earned an Executive MBA from Seattle University.
Derek Sciba, Head of Marketing – New Channels, World Vision
Derek develops PR and marketing initiatives that move people to act. He’s currently dreaming up campaigns for new channels and partnerships at humanitarian organization World Vision. He’s also led engagement at CRISTA Ministries and World Concern, drawing in new donors, while growing relationships with current partners. Derek’s worked as a TV news reporter and anchor, gravitating to stories of injustice. He grew up in Auburn. He and his family are members of Quest Church in Seattle, where he co-chaired a $2.5 million capital campaign.
Mark Hutcheson, Vice President, Branch Manager, HomeStreet Bank
Mark is a Vice President, Branch Manager for HomeStreet Bank, one of the largest community banks headquartered in Washington. He joined HomeStreet in 2015 following successful stints at two super regional banks. Mark’s background before banking included management roles in the industrial and service sectors. Mark serves as Vice President of the Newcastle Chamber of Commerce and previously held board positions on the Ballard Chamber. He has been an active volunteer in his Bothell community, from announcing youth football games to teaching Sunday school at St. Brendan parish. Mark has a BA in Journalism with an emphasis in Public Relations from the University of Oregon.
Dave Presley, Director of Operations & Supply Chain, ChemPoint
Dave has held a number of leadership positions at FedEx Logistics, APL Logistics, REI, and now ChemPoint. He earned a BS in Manufacturing Engineering from Tennessee Technological University. Dave has previously served on the board of directors at the Seattle Chapter of the ARC, and Friends of the Cedar River Water Shed. Dave became involved with the Vision House through volunteer efforts with his team at ChemPoint.
Libby Miller, Retired, Vice President, Johnson & Johnson
As a graduate of Arizona State University and originally from MI, Libby has called Edmonds, WA home for the past 27 years. Recently retired as a VP from Johnson & Johnson, Libby managed $300m in medical device sales. She is a member of North Sound Church, Mosaic Choir, serves on the Advisory Board for Swedish Edmonds Hospital and is a Bible Study leader. She has been part of Union Gospel Mission’s annual fund raising gala and an active volunteer with Vision House for the past year. After 30 years of frequent business travel, Libby relishes time with her family, including two grandsons, Camden and Jack, son, Ian and daughter-in-law, Tami.
Heather McDowell, Executive Assistant, Facebook
Heather is an Executive Assistant at Facebook Seattle, where she leads many initiatives including site growth strategy, large-scale event planning and admin mentorship. In her 17+ years in the tech industry, Heather has built successful partnerships with executives at Microsoft, OVP Venture Partners and Facebook. She has been a dedicated leader in her church community and a partner of multiple local and global charitable organizations including Charity:Water, American Cancer Society and Vision House. Heather was born and raised in Bellevue, WA and offers a wealth of knowledge in the social media sector, and a passionate heart for the homeless in our community.
Will Station, CFO of Engineering Test & Technology Operations, Boeing
Will Station is currently CFO of Engineering Test & Technology Operations at Boeing, having served in prior financial leadership roles within the Boeing Company, senior manager at Southwestern Bell Company, and regional branch manager for Bank of America. Will holds a bachelor’s degree in Economics from Washington University in St. Louis, MO and an Executive Master of Business Administration degree, with an emphasis in international business, from St. Louis University. Will currently lives in Newcastle with his wife, April and their two children.
Geoff Tamman, Senior Manager, Amazon
Geoff is a Senior Manager, Product Management at Amazon in Seattle, leading technology, finance and accounting teams across Amazon’s Consumer business for 10 years. Prior to joining Amazon, Geoff was the Assistant Controller for CRISTA Ministries and an auditor for Deloitte & Touche following college at Seattle Pacific University in Accounting. Part of his heart was ripped out on July 2, 2008 when the Sonics left Seattle, having worked in the front office and game night staff for the SuperSonics and Storm while in college. Geoff currently lives in Shoreline with his wife, Jennifer, and their two children.
