Derek Sciba, Head of Marketing – New Partnerships and Innovation, World Vision USA
Derek develops PR and marketing initiatives that move people to act. He is currently dreaming up campaigns for new channels and partnerships at humanitarian organization World Vision. He has also led engagement at CRISTA Ministries and World Concern, drawing in new donors, while growing relationships with current partners. Previously Derek was an Emmy-nominated TV news anchor and reporter with extensive investigative experience, gravitating to stories of injustice. He and his family are members of Quest Church in Seattle, where he co-chaired a $2.5 million capital campaign.
Heather McDowell, Executive Assistant, Facebook
Heather is an Executive Assistant at Facebook Seattle, where she leads many initiatives including site growth strategy, large-scale event planning and admin mentorship. In her 17+ years in the tech industry, Heather has built successful partnerships with executives at Microsoft, OVP Venture Partners and Facebook. She has been a dedicated leader in her church community and a partner of multiple local and global charitable organizations including Charity:Water, American Cancer Society and Vision House. Heather was born and raised in Bellevue, WA and offers a wealth of knowledge in the social media sector, and a passionate heart for the homeless in our community.
Geoff Tamman, Senior Manager, Amazon
Geoff is a Senior Manager, Product Management at Amazon in Seattle, leading technology, finance and accounting teams across Amazon’s Consumer business for 10 years. Prior to joining Amazon, Geoff was the Assistant Controller for CRISTA Ministries and an auditor for Deloitte & Touche following college at Seattle Pacific University in Accounting. Part of his heart was ripped out on July 2, 2008 when the Sonics left Seattle, having worked in the front office and game night staff for the SuperSonics and Storm while in college. Geoff lives in Shoreline with his wife, Jennifer, and their two children.
Mike Eslinger, Vice President of Service Engineering, Providence
Mike is currently a Vice President at Providence in IT, helping lead teams thru transformation and modernization of their IT services in the Providence medical industry. Prior to that Mike was a Microsoft veteran of 24 years. Mike led teams in a variety of roles across Microsoft, most recently as the Principal Director of Service Engineering for Enterprise Commerce there. Prior to Microsoft, Mike worked in technology startups and was a Director at United Parcel Service. He has been involved in various ministries in the northwest and most recently was the Board president for Connect Ministry. Libby Miller, Retired, Vice President, Johnson & Johnson
As a graduate of Arizona State University and originally from Michigan, Libby has called Edmonds, WA home for the past 27 years. Recently retired as a VP from Johnson & Johnson, Libby managed $300m in medical device sales. She is a member of North Sound Church, Mosaic Choir, serves on the Advisory Board for Swedish Edmonds Hospital, and is a Bible Study leader. She has been part of Union Gospel Mission’s annual fundraising gala and an active volunteer with Vision House. After 30 years of frequent business travel, Libby relishes time with her family, including two grandsons, Camden and Jack, son, Ian and daughter-in-law, Tami.
Bill Northey, Founder, Point North LLC
Bill served as an executive in the transportation and logistics industry for over 30 years. Before he retired in 2015, Bill was Vice President of Sales and Marketing for Alaska Marine Lines. Prior to that, Bill served as Sr. Vice President/COO at Northland Services for 16 years. Currently, Bill is the founder of Point North LLC, an executive consulting firm, specializing in providing logistic solutions for the marine transportation market. In addition, Bill works with small business owners providing leadership coaching and transition planning. Bill received a BS degree, along with a teaching certificate, from Washington State University and also earned an Executive MBA from Seattle University.
Will Station, Senior Vice President & Chief Financial Officer, McKesson Medical-Surgical
Will Station is the Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer at McKesson Medical-Surgical in Virginia. Prior to that, Will served as Vice President/CFO of Commercial Derivatives at Boeing, senior manager at Southwestern Bell Company, and regional branch manager for Bank of America. Will holds a bachelor’s degree in Economics from Washington University in St. Louis, MO and an Executive Master of Business Administration degree, with an emphasis in international business, from St. Louis University. Will lives in Virginia with his wife, April, and their two children.
Mark Hutcheson, Vice President & Branch Manager, Homestreet Bank
Mark is a Vice President, Branch Manager for HomeStreet Bank, one of the largest community banks headquartered in Washington. He joined HomeStreet in 2015 following successful stints at two super regional banks. Mark’s background before banking included management roles in the industrial and service sectors. Mark serves as Vice President of the Newcastle Chamber of Commerce, and previously held board positions on the Ballard Chamber. He has been an active volunteer in his Bothell community, from announcing youth football games to teaching Sunday school at St. Brendan parish. Mark has a BA in Journalism with an emphasis in Public Relations from the University of Oregon.
Jennifer Armstrong-Owen, Vice President of People, SeekOut
Jennifer is the Vice President of People for SeekOut, a Seattle start-up that enables and equips companies to discover, hire and develop diverse talent. Prior to SeekOut, she led the People functions at Chef Software, Impinj, Corbis and RealNetworks. Jennifer’s passion for developing and coaching others was born during a tour as a Peace Corps Volunteer in Dominica, West Indies after graduating college. She is also a leader in a local ministry that trains volunteers to provide one-to-one care for those experiencing a difficult time in their lives. Jennifer holds an MBA from the University of Washington and a BA from The Evergreen State College.
