Where Hope Has An Address

Join Us in This Facility Expansion Project

Your support as faithful volunteers, donors, and church and community partners is vital to make real, lasting change possible in our community.

The need is great, and the time is now.  Will you join us? You can play a key role in creating a viable solution to the crisis of family homelessness in Western Washington, making this a better place for everyone to live.

With your partnership, we’re confident this project will be a success.

Together, we can share God’s love with children and families in need so they can thrive and have real hope for a brighter future.

Project Overview

Project Overview

We stand at a defining moment.

The need is dire. Market-rate rents in King County are among the highest in the country, making them unaffordable for
parents working in low-wage jobs.

Many subsidies are short-term, and when they end, many families cannot sustain the cost of rent, which results in evictions and credit damage that make securing future housing difficult.

This means families are living in cars and tents, waking up shivering in the cold, and worrying about their safety each night.

At Vision House, the expansion at our Renton campus—the final stage in our four-part master plan supported by the City of Renton—will allow us to serve more families with children than
ever before. But this expansion cannot happen without your help.

In addition to creating 28 new apartments, this 54,000-square-foot facility has been designed around the needs of our proven
Family Program which is the center of our engagement with client families.

The main floor includes a central area large enough for every family to gather together at the same time. We’ve also provided significant space for classes, a center for counseling, youth
and family advocates, case managers, and administrative offices.

Because providing childcare is part of what makes our model so successful, this facility also includes two additional classrooms that will accommodate more children, allowing us to expand our Children’s Village childcare
center in Renton by 73%.

Transitional housing provides families experiencing homelessness with temporary
housing (usually 12–24 months), paired with intensive case management, life skills, job
readiness support, and counseling.

At Vision House, this includes on-site licensed childcare, onsite licensed mental health counselors, access to trauma-informed care, and a strengths-based approach rooted in the love of Christ.

The campaign provides a solution to an urgent crisis in our region: providing transitional housing for struggling families experiencing homelessness at a time when costs are rising and other agencies in the region are cutting their services.

Financial Overview

“Most of us are deeply concerned about the homelessness we see in our city but frankly, we don’t really know how to help. I support Vision House because they do know how to help, and - they have a 90% success rate in helping women and their children get off the streets and back on their feet. My gifts to Vision House literally change lives and that feels great.”

- Rich Stearns, President Emeritus of World Vision, Author of The Hole In Our Gospel
