Derek Sciba

Chief Executive Officer

Executive Director Derek Sciba brings a track record of growing the impact of organizations, with 18 years of experience in nonprofit leadership, most recently at the humanitarian organization World Vision. Derek loves the work of Vision House because it’s not transactional—it’s empowering, personal and addresses core problems that lead to housing instability. Earlier in his career, Derek worked as a TV news reporter, where he produced stories to seek justice for families who had encountered trauma. Derek lives in Newcastle with his wife and daughters and grew up in Auburn. He believes strongly that it’s time to bring the Sonics back to Seattle.
